La Paz, Baja California Sur

La Paz is the capital of Baja California Sur and a highly recommended year round destination. Located on the Sea of Cortez, declared the "Aquarium of the World" by Jacques Cousteau, this laid back coastal is a mecca for marine activities. Full of friendly locals and spectacular sunsets, the town is best embodied by the Malecón - a 5km road that runs the length of town right on the water. Dotted with small beaches, sculptures and benches it's a great spot to mingle with the friendly locals and take in the spectacular sunsets.
